On Nov 11, two projects undertaken by CEEC were selected into the second list of Chinese construction projects that won 2012-2013 Luban Prize (National Quality Project Award), duly announced on the website of China Construction Industry Association.

Among 103 award-wining projects, the two CEEC projects are respectively the 2 x 660 MW generator units for the first phase of Baoqing Power Plant, and the new 2 x 600 MW generators for the project of "Developing Large Units and Closing Small Ones" of Yanshanhu Power Plant.

In the first phase of Baoqing Power Plant, two domestically-made 66 GW supercritical coal-fired generator units were constructed, supported by two 2070 T/h supercritical opposed firing boilers. In the Yanshanhu Power Plant project, two domestically-made 60 GW supercritical coal-fired air-cooled generator units and flue gas desulphurization equipment were installed.

Luban Prize for Chinese Construction Projects was created in 1987 and organized by China Construction Industry Association. This prize is widely acknowledged as the highest quality award in the Chinese construction industry.
