CEEC wins Nepal Zhongbaitaike Hydropower Station EPC general contract

On Sep 20 CEEC was awarded the EPC contract for civil engineering and metal structure of Nepal Zhongbaitaike Hydropower Station, with a contract value of $90.78 million.

Located in Indhupalchowk County, Bagmati District, Nepal, the project is 95 kilometers from Katmandu and 20 kilometers from Zhangmu, a Chinese port on the Sino-Nepalese border. To be built as a runoff diversion-type power station, the project consists of a head of pivot, a sand basin, a diversion tunnel, surge shafts, the penstock and the power house. Three Francis type water turbine-generator units will be installed to achieve a total generating capacity of 102,000 kilowatts. Construction is scheduled to be started before the end of 2013 and completed by the end of 2016, spanning three years.
