Chen Xiaohua makes an official visit to Jamaican Premier

On Aug 22, CGGC International General Manager Chen Xiaohua made an official visit to Jamaican Premier Portia Simpson Miller, who was making a state visit to China, at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing.

Officials of both the Jamaican and Chinese governments including the Chinese ambassador to Jamaica, the special envoy of the Jamaican Premier, the water resources minister, the foreign minister, the water & soil environment and climate change minister, the Jamaican ambassador and counselor to China attended the activity.

During the meeting, Mr Chen gave a brief introduction to the history, main business and international business of CGGC. He said that CGGC had made great contributions to local social progress and the people’s livelihood in the field of infrastructure construction across the world since it made inroads into the international market. He also indicated that CGGC hoped to actively engage in and carry out, under the great support of the Jamaican government and based on the actual situation of Jamaica, investment and construction in the fields of water conservancy & hydropower, cement manufacturing and tourist real estates in the country by relying on its achievements made in the past and the advanced experience accumulated for ages in infrastructure construction, so as to benefit the Jamaican people as soon as possible.

Portia Simpson Miller spoke highly of the strong technical strength and investing & financing capabilities of CGGC, and indicated that since the establishment of the diplomatic ties between Jamaica and China 40 years ago, the both sides had been making efforts to deepen political mutual trust, build a lasting and steady relationship and carry out economic development persistently. She said that Jamaica was willing to cooperate with excellent Chinese enterprises including CGGC so as to promote the economic development persistently and improve the people’s livelihood of Jamaica steadily.
