CEEC kicked off the Philippine Calaca Project

At 9:16 am, June 20, the No.1 boiler steel structure of the 150-megawatt CFB coal-fired power plant project in Philippine Calaca undertaken by CEEC, was lifted, indicating that the project officially started.

The project consist of two 150-megawatt CFB boilers and 60-Hz air-cooled steam turbine generator units. And all of the equipments used in the project were imported from China. After receiving the notice on bid awarding on June 5, CEEC established the project management office immediately and dispatched engineers and technicians to the site.

Despite of the tight schedule, burdensome preparatory tasks and the rainy weather, the company hoisted the No.1 boiler steel structure successfully after 10-plus days’ preparation and was praised by the owners and the main contractor.

Upon completion, the project is expected to mitigate the power shortage in Philippines and promote local economic and social development.
