With the support of the Lao government, CEEC, Nie Kai indicated, would like to expand its participation in the local infrastructure construction, create more job opportunities in the local area, cultivate more technicians, and make its contribution to the improvement of the Lao people’s life.
Vice President Bounnhang spoke highly of the contribution that CEEC had made to the development of the Lao economy and the contractual capacity the subordinate companies of CEEC had showed in carrying out their projects in Laos. In addition, he expressed his thanks to member companies of CEEC for their active fulfillment of social responsibilities and their selfless contributions to the Lao public welfare. Vice President Bounnhang hopes CEEC can participate in the LAO infrastructure construction in a wider and deeper way and its endeavors can help facilitate the Lao economy and improve the local people’s life.
As Deputy Prime Minister Somsavat indicated, during the critical period of the Seventh Five-year Plan, Laos is experiencing the booming infrastructure development and the soaring investment in energy and mineral. Therefore, CEEC is expected to play a full role in Laos’ social and economic construction. In return, the relevant functional departments of the Lao government will further improve their communication with CEEC so as to support its business expansion in Laos.
The two sides also reached a series of consensuses about CEEC’s other projects after their detailed discussions in this regard.
