Build lasting Sino-African friendship for a brilliant future

The two-day Ministerial Conference of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation was concluded in Beijing on July 20.

A major player in the field of infrastructure construction in Africa, the CGGC Limited in the conference made extensive communication, and impressed the world as the hydropower leader of China and the main contractor of the Three Gorges project.

The CGGC Limited met the presidents and premiers of Kenya, Benin, Cote d'Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Niger and Cape Verde as well as governmental leaders of foreign affairs, finance and transportation departments of African countries, introduced the history of the CGGC and its contracting of overseas projects to new friends, made in-depth communication with old friends on the progress of ongoing projects, and discussed further cooperation in infrastructure construction.

In addition to the main forum, the CGGC Limited also actively took part in sub-forums and warm-up activities including the Forum on China-Africa Financial Cooperation, the Conference of Chinese and African Entrepreneurs, and the Sino-African Business and Investment Forum. A CGGC delegation will also attend the Forum on China-Africa Local Government Cooperation to be held in Beijing in the second half of August.

It is reported that, the Ministerial Conference of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation is held every three years as an important dialogue mechanism between China and African countries within the scope of South-South Cooperation. In the 5th Conference this year, China and 51 African countries, centering on the theme of “carry forward the cause and build new strategic partnership between China and Africa”, made open-hearted, warm and in-depth communication, and designed the blueprint for China-Africa cooperation featuring mutual assistance and mutual development.
