On Sep 22, 2011 of local time, the China-Africa Friendship Bridge — Bamako No.3 Bridge aided by China in Mali was open to traffic.

At the ceremony, Amadou Toumani Toure, President of Republic of Mali, conferred medals on Yang Jixue, president of CGGC and chairman of CGGC Limited, and other CGGC staff members for outstanding contribution to the Bridge.

Situated in the eastern city proper of Bamako, the capital of Mali, Bamako No.3 Bridge is a bridge project spanning the River Niger and an interchange project linking the south bank and the north bank. One of the foreign aid projects of the Chinese government, the bridge funded and undertaken by CGGC is the longest one in Bamako with a total length of 2,294 meters.

Thanks for its meticulous construction and scientific management, CGGC has overcome many difficulties and delivered the Bridge eight months ahead of schedule, and was extolled by Malian government, the Economic and Commercial Counsellor's Office and Chinese embassy in Mali.

To honor Chinese constructors' outstanding contribution to the social and economic development of Mali, the Malian government decorated Yang Jixue with a Third-Class Medal (the highest class medal) and competent CGGC staff members with Knight's Medal and Lion's Medal.
