On Aug 26, the construction commencement ceremony for the Phase I of Yarmag New Town Project undertaken by CGGC was held in Ulan Bator. Zhou Yongkang, member of Politburo Standing Committee and secretary of the Central Political and Legislative Committee, and Mongolian Prime Minister Batbold attended the ceremony.
Located in the southwest of and 6km away from the downtown of Ulan Bator, Yarmag New Town is planned to house 100,000 residential apartments and supporting public service facilities. The indemnificatory housing project is made by the Mongolian government to meet the urgent needs of Mongolian people for modern residential areas. The project is expected to create a comfortable and healthy living environment for Mongolian people, cut environmental pollution, create job opportunities and further improve the infrastructure in Ulan Bator.
As part of the whole housing project, the Phase I of the project undertaken by CGGC EPC will build a new residential area with 4,000 apartments and various facilities such as schools, kindergartens, business centers, medical centers and vocational schools.
Ren Jianguo, vice president of CGGC International, addressed the corner stone laying ceremony, saying that CGGC would implement the engineering construction based on sophisticated planning and design, advanced construction techniques, and first-class project management. CGGC would also work actively to create more jobs for local residents and promote the local economic development.
Mr Zhou and Mongolian Prime Minister Batbold together laid the corner stone for the project.
