Bamako No.3 Bridge in Mali, with the main part completed |
On Aug 6, the compacted asphalt concrete pavement of the last road section of Bamako No.3 Bridge in Mali, undertaken by CGGC, marked the completion of the main part of the whole project.
The 2294m-long Bamako No.3 Bridge in Mali is the biggest China-aided project in West Africa. The bridge and extended roads are designed to be 24 meters wide and covered by a 9cm-deep layer of asphalt concrete pavement and have four two-way lanes.
After the asphalt concrete pavement is finished, CGGC will spare no time on the follow-up work such as welding rails, to ensure that the project will be finished and delivered to Mali government on Sep 22, 2011.
