CGGC Limited commended by Ministry of Commerce

On Jan 11, the Ministry of Commerce issued a document to commend enterprises which performed extraordinarily well in the inspection on execution of Administrative Regulations on Contracting Foreign Projects (Regulations for short hereinafter). CGGC Limited was one of them for its adherence to the regulations, careful inspection and remarkable performance.

For years CGGC Limited has actively implemented the "go global" strategy, and followed the Regulations' guidance in improving management, building up competitiveness, carrying out image strategy and expanding international market. It has developed and perfected Working Procedures for International Bidding, standardized management of ongoing overseas projects, implemented safety and quality accountability system, safeguarded rights and interests of dispatched laborers and fulfilled its social responsibilities. By now, all ongoing overseas projects have satisfied progress and quality requirements set forth in the contract and dispatched laborers enjoyed proper remuneration. Besides, overseas subsidiaries have updated their social responsibilities and participation and won trust from local governments and people. CGGC Limited has outstood as a representing enterprise "going global".

During the seven months' inspection, a group with members from seven ministries and commissions including the Ministry of Commerce and State Development and Reform Commission visited all around China and Mozambique, Angola and other countries to review 37 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions, municipalities with independent planning status and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, 200 Chinese embassies or consulates, and 2,700 international contractors.

It is known that the inspection was highly valued by Chinese enterprises for its wide coverage, long duration and detailed contents, and was regarded as a parade of the "go global" strategy.
