CGGC Limited wins hydropower station contract in Myanmar

CGGC Limited has recently signed the contract on the downstream civil construction for flood discharge structure in Myitsone Hydropower Station, Myanmar.

The contract valued 978 million yuan ($161.09 million) in a construction period of 46 months.

Myitsone is a tier I hydropower station to be built on the main stream of Irrawaddy River. The project boasts of the largest planned installed capacity in Myanmar, 60 million kilowatts. It is mainly intended to supply power and also serve the flood control for Myitkyina.
