Nie Kai warmly receives director Abebe of the Ethiopian Ministry of Finance and his delegation

On June 13, 2010, Nie Kai, vice president of CGGC and president of CGGC International, warmly received a group led by Director Abebe Wassihun Abate of the Ethiopian Ministry of Finance that paid a visit to China in Beijing.

Both sides exchanged views about the construction of the projects in Ethiopia. Director Abebe hoped CGGC would participate in Ethiopia’s infrastructure construction in greater depth and contribute more to the economic development in Ethiopia.

Ethiopia is an important part of the African market of CGGC. Since undertaking the main body work of the dam of the Takaze Hydropower Station Project, honored as the Three Gorges Project in Africa, in 2002, CGGC has successively undertaken the FAN Hydropower Station, the Shire Road, Adigrat-Adwa-Shire Road Upgrading Project Contract 1:Shire-Adi Abun and other important infrastructure projects in Ethiopia. Ethiopia has become an important region of the global market territory of CGGC.

Nie Kai introduced the dynamics of CGGC’s international business to Director Abebe, and reviewed the good cooperation between CGGC and the Ethiopian government. Nie Kai acknowledged the Ethiopian government and enterprises for their vigorous support, which has ensured the smooth progress of CGGC’s business in Ethiopia. As an all-weather partner to the Ethiopian government and enterprises, CGGC is willing to make a more active contribution to the economic development and the improvement of local people’s life in Ethiopia.

Director Abebe acknowledged CGGC very much for its active involvement in the infrastructure development in Ethiopia and the outstanding engineering projects created for Ethiopia. Director Abebe said CGGC is the good friend of the Ethiopian government and enterprises, and the projects undertaken by CGGC are of superior quality and fine operation, and will actively promote the local economic development. He said the Ethiopian government is willing to help CGGC more in the business development in Ethiopia, and hoped CGGC would build more outstanding projects in his country, cultivate more excellent technicians for the local community, and contribute more to the local economic development.
