Construction progress of Malian Bridge Project commended by client

Updated: 2009-10-25

On Oct 22, 2009 local time, Ahmed Diane Semega, the Malian Minister of Equipment and Transportation, commended the rapid progress of Bamako No 3 Bridge in the recent time when heading a group to visit the construction site.

At about 11:00 am, the group first arrived at the construction site of the south bank prefabrication plant for the bridge project, understood the steel bar structures of hollow plate girders and T girders, watched the tension process of the hollow plate girders on the site, and asked the technical team in detail about the preparation of staff, equipment and materials.

Seeing piles had risen from the ground, prefabricated girders had been piled in large quantities on both banks, and the construction of the roadbed refilling section on both ends of the bridge was going on stressfully, Mr Semega was very glad. He sincerely appreciated the hard work of the CGGC construction staff, and hoped that they would continue the effort to finish half of the bridge prior to the National Day of Mali in September, 2010 and deliver the entire project on schedule.

The head of the Malian technical team of CGGC vowed that all the staff of the technical team would elaborately organize the construction and carry out the scientific construction to ensure all objectives of different stages were accomplished on schedule.
