Dongfeng Moto Corporation (DMF) held the 2012 Charity Congress on June 26 in Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei province. At the congress, DMF issued the "Mid-term Charity Plan".
Peng Huagang, director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council Research Bureau, and Fan Zhong, party committee secretary of DMF, attended the congress.
As the first systematical charity plan, DMF named it the "Nurturing Plan". The plan aims to improve the corporation`s charity fund management and to bring it into DMF`s blueprint. It will also stimulate DMF`s potential to develop and to be a world-class motor manufacture.
In order to process the plan, DMF set up the "Dongfeng Charitable Foundation", which will be approved by the National Ministry of Civil Affairs with 50 million yuan ($7.9 million) registration capital.
As a non-public offering fund, it will collect money from DMF and mainly support charitable projects in the Nurturing Plan.
The logo of the foundation was unveiled at the congress.
