Community social organizations boomed in Kunshan thanks to the city’s various measures to optimize the development environment, regulate management and accelerate development for such organizations.

Lowering the threshold for social organization registration was also important to the field of social organization. The registered capital standard of a private non-enterprise organization at the community level reached 3,000 yuan ($495.60) last year. The registered capital of the lowest social organization, at the county level, was 30,000 yuan in the past.

Social organizations at the community level will serve as a bridge to connect community residents and the local government, as well as a communication channel for community residents. They are also significant in community management, according to the Kunshan civil affairs bureau. A multi-channel strategy will be established to support organization development.
