Nineteen cities in East China's Jiangsu province claimed the title of "China's Best City for Business," according to a ranking by Forbes magazine, hqcbd.com reported on Dec 2.
Kunshan ranked 40th among the 100 business cities.
This is the 10th time the ranking has been released. It was based on an evaluation of eight factors related to a city's business activities and future development, including talent, city size, consumption, passenger transportation, operation costs and innovation.
It serves as an overview of a city's development potential and business environment.
Guangzhou and Shenzhen, two cities in Southern China’s Guangdong province, together with Shanghai were the top three cities on the list.
Nanjing of Jiangsu province took fourth place on the list.
Two other Jiangsu cities, Wuxi and Suzhou, also made it into the top 10.
Kunshan ranked 20th in terms of innovation capacity on a list of the Top 25 Innovative Cities on the Chinese mainland, which was released together with China's Best City for Business list.
