An awards ceremony was held to conclude the first China’s Gold Valley: Huaqiao International Service Business Park Cup Software Contest on Nov 29.

A total of 130 teams from 40 universities took part in the contest, which was initiated in January. After a one-year competition, 18 teams were awarded with first, second and third-place prizes by the judging panel.

A number of software talents emerged from the contest. Xu Jin and Du Weiji, two members of Qiqihar University’s team (the only gold medal winner of the contest), were employed by Capgemini Consulting (Kunshan) Co, one of the contest’s technical support suppliers.

The team’s third member became a new recruit of Camelot Information System Co.

In addition, Camelot, together with the contest’s other two technical support suppliers, also sent pre-admission letters to other winners.

Hosted by the Huaqiao Economic Development Zone, the contest served as a way to cultivate Huaqiao International Service Business Park’s modern service talent cultivation system.

It was also a way to practice uniting government support, higher education institute impetusnd enterprise creativity to promote talent cultivation.
