Woody Tyzz-Jiun Duh, co-convener of the Cross-Strait Industrial Cooperation Forum, led a five-member delegation to Huaqiao International Service Business Park on Nov 27.

Yin Weilin and Li Yang, officials of the State Council's Taiwan Affairs Office; Tang Tuyun, vice mayor of Kunshan, and Zhang Zhenyue, deputy head of the administration committee of Huaqiao Economic Development Zone, accompanied the delegation during their visit.

The visitors' schedule included a stop at the development zone and the 2014 Taiwan Spring Festival Products Fair, which is currently underway in the zone.

They expressed interest in increasing their understanding of the construction and development of the Cross-Straits (Kunshan) Trade Demonstration Zone, and in various policies aimed at promoting industries.

The delegation members also expressed their support for the demonstration zone in its efforts to promote cross-Straits trade and industrial integration, and they said that they were certain that the Spring Festival Products Fair would boost the popularity of Taiwan products in the Chinese mainland.

The third Cross-Strait Industrial Cooperation Forum is set to take place in Kunshan on Nov 28, and will consist of three sub-forums with different themes relating to cross-Straits cooperation.
