Three enterprises in Huaqiao International Service Business Park were approved as advanced technology service enterprises, according to the 2013 Suzhou Approved Advanced Technology Service Enterprises Draft List released on Nov 13.
Advanced technology services include information technology outsourcing service (ITO), business process outsourcing (BPO) and knowledge process outsourcing (KPO).
An enterprise’s revenue from advanced technology service and revenue from international service outsourcing based on service outsourcing contracts with foreign clients are the two factors that make up an advanced technology service enterprise. Both factors must be equal to or over 50 percent of an enterprise’s annual total revenue.
The approval for an advanced technology service enterprise is a positive element in regulating enterprise business and leading scientific and technological innovation. It is beneficial to the park’s industry structure transformation and upgrading, fiscal taxation and employee structure optimization.
A total of six enterprises in the park have been approved as advanced technology service enterprises. They can get a 15 percent discount in terms of enterprise income tax, according to relevant policies.
