Police officials from the Kunshan municipal public security bureau and the local traffic police brigade inspected Huaqiao International Service Business Park in early November and gave advice to optimize the park's traffic facilities, Kunshan Daily reported on Nov 6.
The inspection team focused on the park’s road median belts, traffic lights, square lamps, traffic digital cameras, flyovers and road construction work.
Huaqiao has added four digital cameras to monitor driving behavior on Ludi Avenue and Guangming Road – two main roads connecting Huaqiao Station of the inter-provincial Shanghai subway Line 11, which was officially put into operation in late October this year. Nine more cameras have also been installed to capture drivers who run red lights along Yanhu Avenue.
The city traffic police brigade plans to install digital cameras to monitor speeding in hopes of optimizing Huaqiao's traffic conditions.
