Huaqiao Economic Development Zone convened a meeting on Aug 21 to prepare for a garden party during Mid-Autumn Festival. Wang Jianfen, deputy director of the management committee of Huaqiao Economic Development Zone, organized the meeting. The activity will be held from Sept 14 to 15 at Shuanghua Road in Huaqiao, Jiangsu province.

The garden party was co-hosted by the Huaqiao branch of the Kunshan Taiwan Business Association (KSTBA) and the Taiwan service office of Huaqiao. During the meeting, Hong Jinchang, chairman of the Huaqiao branch of the KSTBA, introduced the basic information of the activity. Relevant departments also gave their opinions. Wang added that relevant departments should work together and take all efforts to ensure the activity is a success.

The 2013 Mid-Autumn Festival garden party will incorporate Huaqiao local characters with Taiwan features, including Taiwan-featured dances and snacks and Huaqiao local performances. All the performances are open to the public for free.
