With the arrival of the first group of tourists at the Display Center on Aug 2, the market-led industrial tourism sector opened in the Huaqiao Economic Development Zone.

In April this year, the Display Center and four other places were zoned within the first batch of industrial tourist spots. Thanks to thorough preparation, the Display Center successfully welcomed its first wave of tourists from Changshu, a city under Suzhou's administration. With the help of multimedia displays, tourists are able to see a bird's view of Huaqiao.

To speed up the development of tourism, the Economic Development Zone will reach tourists directly through travel agencies, devising various travel routes and products to attract a wider range of tourists. The specially-designed routes may cover southeast China and even Taiwan, aiming to make tourism in Huaqiao the fifth largest leading industry.
