A national professional import exhibition, 2013 China (Kunshan) Brand Products Import Expo, was held in the Kunshan Convention and Exhibition Center, Jiangsu province, on May 15, and it is expected to become an annual event.

Companies represented at Huaqiao International Service Business Park - including NSK, KunShan Noke Automotive Technical Machinery Co, Sofmit, Haitong International Trade Co and Mega Wine –attended the expo

Following the blueprint of 12th Five-Year Plan (2011-15), the event focused on new technology, new equipment and the development of the emerging industries.

The 60,000 square-meter exhibition area was organized into five categories : machinery and equipment, environmental protection, new materials and new energy, electronic information technologies and products, brand consumer goods and auto parts and products.

More than 600 exhibitors from 41 countries and regions - including Fortune's top 500 companies - took part in the event.

The China (Kunshan) Brand Products Import Expo, formerly known as the China International Import Expo, was first held in 2012, also in Kunshan.

The 2013 expo was co-hosted by the Ministry of Commerce, the Jiangsu provincial government and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (China Chamber of International Commerce).
