Apart from boosting the development of the modern service industry, Huaqiao International Service Business Park has attached great importance to emerging industries in recent years. According to latest statistics, seven industrial enterprises above a designated size have been labeled as emerging industries, covering high-end equipment manufacturing, the smart grid, the Internet of Things, newly developed materials and panel displays.

The industrial output of the first quarter this year reached to 439 million yuan ($70.9 million), a year-on-year increase of 11.6 percent, which contributed 36.6 percent to the annual program.
