Kunshan now has 612 service outsourcing enterprises, according to the Kunshan Association of Service Outsourcing Enterprises on March 22, Kunshan Daily reported.

The 612 service outsourcing enterprises include BPO giants such as Capgemini and Yuanyang Data, training enterprises such as Ambow Education Holding, and high-tech enterprises such as CIVC SE.

In recent years, Kunshan has been promoting the outsourcing industry in many regions including the Huaqiao Economic Development Zone. Kunshan believes the development of the finance, software, IT and gaming industries should be a priority.

In 2012, Kunshan ranked first in outsourcing business among all cities in Suzhou, realizing $690 million in outsourcing contracts and $210 million in offshore outsourcing projects, an increase of 103.6 percent and 63.9 percent, respectively. In 2013, Kunshan plans to reach $800 million in service outsourcing contracts.
