Kunshan Mayor Lu Jun met with Emmanuel Lenain, consul-general of the Consulate General of the Republic of France, in Shanghai on Sept 18. They exchanged opinions on further communication and cooperation.

The mayor said Kunshan is one of the leading county-level cities in China and is focused on advanced manufacturing and modern services. Currently, 38 French enterprises have invested in Kunshan. Lu expected more French investment and a mutually beneficial relationship.

Lenain spoke highly of Kunshan's investment environment and government services. More than 1,000 Shanghai-based French enterprises were looking for neighboring development space. Kunshan is a good choice of them, said Lenain.
