Legal Publicity Office of Huaqiao Economic Development Zone has recently launched a Legal-Study Week for migrant workers, participated by Judicial Office, Office of Comprehensive Management of Public Security, Petition Office, Huaqiao Police Station and Cao'an Police Station.

This activity, mainly carried out at construction sites, communities of migrant workers and factories, was intended to inform the migrant workers in Huaqiao of regular laws and regulations. Over 500 people attended the activity, and 28 received legal consultation in terms of labor and employment, industrial accidents, salary, legal assistance and temporary residence permits. More than 7,000 legal brochures were distributed.

The activity would help build a harmonious Huaqiao by teaching the migrant workers to follow laws and safeguard their rights.
