While Kunshan is promoting the work of industrial transformation and modernization, the city’s local government is also attracting skilled professionals to spur economic development.

With a budget of 10 billion yuan, the city has attracted 200,000 skilled professionals, the city is becoming a leader in attracting and keeping a skilled work force to pave the way for the rapid growth of Kunshan’s economy.

Kunshan has attracted leading professionals in science and technology fields to its Huaqiao Economic Development Zone by using a variety of approaches. The city has established successful recruitment offices in the United States, Germany and Japan, and also has promoted Kunshan in several countries.

The city also is offering amenities such as leisure-time activities, laboratories equipped with the latest equipment and people-oriented services to help them easily adjust to the city. “We will give them household services and make them feel at home,” a Kunshan recruiting official said.
