A delegation from Changshu, located in southeastern Jiangsu province, recently toured Huaqiao International Business and Service Park and praised the province’s first development zone focusing on the modern hospitality industry.

Led by Hui Jianlin, the mayor of Changshu, the delegation was welcomed by Zhang Guohua, the secretary general of Kunshan. Located in the Huaqiao district of Kunshan, which also is in Jiangsu province, the park has played a vital role in transforming Kunshan’s industrial development, the delegation was told.

The park, which covers 4.4 square kilometers, features an exhibition center, trading center, distribution center, logistics center and service center. All contribute to Huaqiao’s efforts to build its economy and enhance cooperation across the Straits, Zhang told the delegation.

Wang Xiang, in turn, praised Huaqiao’s development and said he would relay Huaqiao’s success story back to Changshu. Wang also called for stronger ties between the two cities.
