A public bicycle renting system was launched on September 28th, 2010 in Huaqiao International Business Park, contributing more efforts to build a low-carbon city within the borders of Huaqiao. Zhang Jianwen, Tang Naixin, deputy directors of Huaqiao International Business Park, addressed the opening ceremony of the project.

According to Tang Naixin, such a system of public renting has never been seen in Huaqiao, and it is sure to help improve traffic conditions and perfect the public traffic facilities of the area. In all, 880 bicycles are to be put into service, and the system will cover almost all major sections of the city, including the residential area, hospitality area and other people-oriented parts.

This system has been connected to its counterpart in Shanghai, which indicates that bicycles can be rented in both cities, making it an even more convenient public transporting measure, and an example to be followed by other cities as well.
