Within the Dongnandong innovation and creation industry park, a summit on cultural innovation industry across the Taiwan Straits is being held on August 27th. Guan Aiguo, the mayor and deputy secretary of Huaqiao, Ren Xueyuan, the director of Huaqiao economic development zone and some other members from local government made their presences at the opening ceremony of this summit.

As one of the sunrise industries in the 21st century, the innovation industry in Huaqiao will definitely bring benefits to the local economy and impose profitable impacts on it. First of all, the interactions between the cultural innovation industry and the tertiary industry in this area could serve the purpose of providing better conditions for the other industries. Secondly, the core value of innovation industry will enhance and increase this region’s competitiveness. Finally, the innovation industry will increase the products’ added values and awaken and even revive some dying industries.

Huaqiao, the largest satellite city of Shanghai, has its own unique and special advantages and merits, such as low labor costs, industry complexes and a convenient location. All these merits will help Huaqiao develop its own cultural innovation industry.
