On July 16, the two parties had a meeting in Huaqiao Park, discussing the starting date, metro station design, and, particularly, the administration responsibility in this project.
Ren Xueyuan promised that the Park will push with all its might to speed up the preparation process for the Metro line 11 in Huaqiao Park, to make sure the construction starts before September 22, when the Jiangsu-Taiwan Week is unveiled.
Shen Xiaosu, on behalf of the Shanghai government, said that they will give the project big support in design, management, construction and operation.
Shanghai's Metro Line 11 will extend 5.992 km from Anting Station in Shanghai to Huaqiao Station in Jiangsu Province, with three stations along the rail and one parking lot. This project will become an example in rail transportation across provincial borders.
