Ferric core maker Acme Electronics plans to ramp up the capacity of its plant in Kunshan, China as current strong sales of passive components have pushed demand for ferric cores, according to the company.
Acme, already the world's third-largest maker of inductor-use ferric cores, expects the capacity of the Kunshan plant to be raised by 60% after the completion of the expansion project. Sales of ferric cores currently account for 80% of Acme's total revenues.
