On May 6th, the Australian Chinese Association, including Shaoquett Moselmane, Deputy Speaker of the House of Lords of Australia New South Wales Parliament and Vice President of Australian Chinese Association, Rao Guohui, President of Australian Chinese Association and his wife, visited Huaqiao and was warmly welcomed by local governors.
The two sides had a friendly discussion. Ren Xueyuan, the director of Huaqiao Economic Development Zone, briefed the guests on the region's industrial development, advantages, industrial planning and external supporting environment, and welcomed Australian companies to set up headquarters and expand their business in China.
Shaoquett Moselmane spoke highly of Huaqiao’s infrastructure and transportation system, especially Huaqiao’s efforts in environmental protection and construction of low-carbon infrastructure. He and Rao Guohui both expressed that they will make good use of the social reputation of the Australian Chinese Association to publicize Huaqiao and introduce more business to Huaqiao to achieve a win-win outcome.
In recent years, Shaoquett Moselmane and Rao Guohui strengthened the business cooperation between China and Australia.
