The opening ceremony of the Financial Service Center of Capegemini was launched on Feb. 7 in the Huaqiao Economic Development Zone in Kunshan.

Customers of Capegemini such as Oracle, Alcatel-Lucent and General Motors were represented at the ceremony. The event also was attended by: Jiang Hongkun, a member of the standing committee of Jiangsu province and secretary of Suzhou city; Yanli, the deputy secretary and mayor of Suzhou; Zhang Guohua, secretary of Kunshan and secretary of the Party and Workers’ Committee of the Huaqiao economic zone, and Guan Aiguo, deputy secretary of the standing committee and mayor of Kunshan，Bi Weiya, vice-president of execution, Chenbo, vice-president and director of Greater China of Capegemini.

After the introduction of Huaqiao industry, Zhang urged Huaqiao government departments to provide good service to Capegemini and promote the development of service outsourcing in Kunshan.

Executives from Capegemini, Oracle and Alcatel-Lucent told government officials they hope to contribute to making Huaqiao a stronger economy.

As a well-known management consultant and supplier of technologies and service outsourcing, Capegemini ranks No 1 in Europe and No 3 globally in its field. Worldwide, its staff numbers 92,000.

Capegemini opened its Delivery and Shared Service Center in the Huaqiao economic zone of Kunshan in 2008. As its biggest center in China, it provides management application systems, software design and development, tests for industrialized software and systems, outsourcing of business process and IT infrastructures to customers of China, Europe and the United States. After one year’s trial operation, its staff numbers increased from a few dozen to 200 at the Kunshan facility.
