With the approach of the Spring Festival, the managing committee of the Huaqiao Economic Development Zone, led by Director Ren Xueyuan, visited the families of revolutionary martyrs and servicemen, families of military personnel, and families in poverty in local villages and communities in the district.

Xi Adi, 83, from Xinhu Village was grateful for the visits. “The officials care a lot about the common people in spite of their busy work schedules. As a senior Party member, I feel quite gratified,” said Xi, who was director of Xinhu Village for several years before he retired.

The officials reportedly visited 317 families and contributed 241,000 yuan to the families.
