The Huaqiao Administration of Industry and Commerce plann to take four measures to regulate the market before the Spring Festival. They will follow the spirit of the Notice on regulating market order during Spring Festival, issued by the Kunshan Administration of Industry and Commerce.

The Huaqiao Administration of Industry and Commerce will fully emphasize to the staff the importance and necessity of supervision over the market. The Administration will carry out strict supervision in a bid to enhance consumer confidencee, increase consumption and protect consumers’ legal rights.

The administration will enhance the execution of relevant laws and regulations. A special examination will be made of food, in particular meat, vegetables, grains, livestock, fishery products, soft drinks and alcohol. Illegal acts such as unfairly dominating the market, buying or selling by force, bidding up prices and producing and selling counterfeit goods will be punished severely. Meanwhile, the administration has reached an agreement with the fire department to set up a fire control system.

In addition, the administration will publicize relevant laws and regulations through news media such as Jiangnan News and Kunshan Daily, which help distribute knowledge and enhance consumers’ sense of self-protection.
