Director of the managing committee of Huaqiao Economic Development Zone Ren Xueyan said:, “Over the past three years, Huaqiao International Service Business Park has entered a favorable development path with aggregated industries, initiated construction of the Cross-Straits Commerce and Trade Cooperation Zone and launched Taiwan-Jiangsu Week.”
Zhang confirmed the fruitful results in terms of influence of power and geographic development. He also urged Huaqiao International Service Business Park to deepen industrial extension and focus on the development of four major industries – service outsourcing, headquarters economy, logistics exhibition and commercial services.
Huaqiao International Service Business Park is located in the junction of Shanghai and Suzhou, with a total area of 50 sq km, less than 35 km away from the center of Shanghai. In August 2006, it was approved as a provincial-level EDZ.
The Park focuses on the development of four industries: service outsourcing, background processing center of financial institutions, regional headquarters of manufacturer enterprises, and logistics and purchase centers. It enjoys a strategic location and convenient traffic. All infrastructures are available.
