The Chinese National Federation of Industries, established in 1942, serves as a forum for views and opinions of Taiwan’s industrial sector that is aimed at upgrading and promoting economic development.
Liang Baohua, secretary of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, led a 3,000-plus member delegation to Taipei to attend the forum. The delegation is the largest among all Chinese trade delegations to have visited Taiwan this year.

Dozens of other MOUs for cooperation with related government units and local enterprises were also signed, including procurement deals worth US$4.1 billion in value, the largest procurement project by China in Taiwan ever.
Several Chinese trade-promoting delegations have visited the island to create profitable business opportunities for suppliers this year, most of which came from Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi and Sichuan provinces. The delegation from Jiangsu is the largest in terms of the number of participants.
Over the past couple of decades, Jiangsu has attracted many Taiwanese enterprises to set up businesses, which have clustered mainly in famous cities such as Suzhou, Nanking and Wuxi.
