12 members from the Standing Committee of Jiangsu People’s Congress visited Huaqiao International Service Business Park for an investigation into major projects and programs.

Under the lead of deputy secretary-general Gao Yongqi, they expressed their sincere concern over the development and construction of the park, highlighting that it is a strategic development program for East China’s Jiangsu province.

They visited the experimental training center, the service outsourcing base and the headquarter base for the enterprises.

They also checked over the construction of basic infrastructure and investment into major industrial programs and learned of the main problems and difficulties.

Qian Jiede, deputy director of the standing committee of Kunshan People’s Congress, and Zhang Jianwen, deputy director of the managing committee of Huaqiao economic development zone, received the visiting group and briefed them over Huaqiao’s progress.

Over the past three years, the fixed-asset investments have exceeded 16 billion yuan, with over 4 billion yuan in basic infrastructure.

In the near future, Huaqiao will build a cross-Straits trade cooperation center, financial service outsourcing center and the center of manufacturing services with all efforts and aims to own acreage of 10 million sq m and 300 thousand working staff, whose production capability is expected to be 100 billion yuan.
