Yang Weize, the municipal party committee secretary of Wuxi and Mao Xiaoping, the mayor of Wuxi, came to Huaqiao International Service Business Park for a visit on Saturday together with 188 other officials from the Wuxi government.

The municipal party committee secretary of Kunshan Zhang Guohua and the mayor of Kunshan Guan Aiguo gave a warm welcome and briefed them over the plan’s position and the prospects of the development and construction at Huaqiao.

The group toured the experimental training center, China’s International shopping mall and the central park. They were deeply impressed with Huaqiao’s rapid and effective measures and its transformation from a manufacturing base to a service provider in the midst of the financial crisis.

Yang spoke highly of Huaqiao’s creativity and initiative regarding industrial development and expressed the determination to learn from Kunshan and update the industries in Wuxi.

Other notable figures at the reception included the municipal party committee secretary of Suzhou Jiang Hongkun, the mayor of Suzhou Yan Li, and vice directors of the managing committee of Huaqiao International Service Business Park Tang Naixin and Cheng Wenrong.
