Huaqiao’s rapid development from a backward town into a modern city gained high attention and absolute praise from the world. It ranked fifth in the top ten service outsourcing parks with Zhongguancun Software Park, Dalian Software Park and Shanghai Pudong Software Park ranking the first three, appraised by the Chinasourcing website, the first Chinese outsourcing industry portal facing the global market and offshore outsourcing advisory.

A group of news media including Xinhua News Agency, People’s Daily, CCTV and The Economic Daily reported and introduced the deeds of Huaqiao.

With more and more major enterprises in the service industry moving into Huaqiao, Huaqiao has cleared its development plan and positioned its role.

Eeffect of aggregation

Faced with the opportunities and challenges brought by the international financial crisis, Huaqiao is determined to create a prosperous future.

“The most important period for Huaqiao’s development is coming. By the virtue of financial readjustment in the world, national concerns over service outsourcing, Shanghai’s transformation into an international financial hub, better cross-Straits economic relationships, Huaqiao will try efforts to build the service outsourcing base, and cross-Straits trade cooperation area.” said Ren Xueyuan.

There is no doubt Huaqiao will form an industrial chain for finance and service outsourcing, whose production capability is expected to reach 50 billion yuan by 2011. By 2015, Huaqiao will be a modern service location with financial service outsourcing as its main industry, covering 10 million square meters and owning 300 thousand working staff.
