Guan Aiguo, the deputy secretary and Mayor of Kunshan held a meeting for promoting the construction of the talent apartments last Friday.

Shen Huafei, deputy director of the managing committee of Huaqiao economic development zone, gave a briefing on Huaqiao’s blueprint for the talent apartments.

According to Shen, 560 million yuan has been allocated to two developments beside Xugong Bridge and Greenland Avenue, which cover construction areas of 260 thousand square meters and will be able to accommodate 13000 households.

Facilities for life, work, leisure and entertainment have also been equipped in neighboring regions to satisfy the demands of the talents who will live in the apartments.

Guan Aiguo emphasized the role of housing in introducing talents, who are key to Kunshan’s economic and social development. In his opinion, housing is of great importance and necessary to establish an environment to love, cherish and keep talents.

He urged all participants to realize the importance and urgency of the construction of the apartments and to strengthen the cooperation between different bureaus to quicken construction.

All officials from the Kunshan government and Huaqiao government took part in the meeting. They were asked to transfer the content of the meeting to their subordinates.
