Sun Qun, deputy secretary of Canadian trade department of the general administration of customs, together with other officials from the trade department visited Huaqiao International Service Business Park to learn about customs supervision the service outsourcing enterprises at Huaqiao last Wednesday.
Under the guide of Ren Xueyuan, director of the managing committee of Huaqiao economic development zone, they toured the service outsourcing training center, the service outsourcing base, Capgmini and China Data Group, and learned about the enterprises’ business development and their need for customs supervision by talking with the representatives from the enterprises.
At a later symposium, Sun heard a report on Huaqiao’s development plan and the problems of customs supervision, which occurred in the process of developing service outsourcing. She spoke highly of Huaqiao’s rapid achievements. Sun also indicated that new policies of customs supervision would be unveiled to support the development of a service outsourcing industry.
Ren expressed sincere appreciation to Sun’s concern over Huaqiao and urged the general administration of customs to use Huaqiao as a pilot city for new policies of customs supervision.
