A group of media organizations from Taiwan, together with some from the mainland, visited Huaqiao International Service Business Park on July 4th.

These media were mainly focused on the development of the cross-straits trade zone as well as its influence and function. As of now, the first phase of its construction has been carried out and possesses the basic qualifications for trade, storage, delivery and logistics.

At the same time, Huaqiao has been striving to create the related service platforms so as to provide the trade zone with the necessary support.

The first involves the government service support from administration for industry and commerce, tax bureau and administration of customs.

The second is the logistics support provided by the third party.

The third concerns the support from trade agencies of customs clearance and freight transport.

The fourth regards the financial support, including guarantees, financing and insurance.

The next concerns electronic business support, especially the system integration and information technology.

And the last is professional service support in the fields of consultation, legal advice, audit and leases.

The media coming from Taiwan included CTI TV Station, Era Television, United Daily News, China Times and Central News Agency.

The group also saw the presence of mainland media, including Xinhua News Agency, China News, CCTV, Chinataiwan.org, and Xinhua Daily.
