Ma Xiuhong, Vice Minister of Commerce of China visited Huaqiao International Service Business Park and reviewed the development of the Park on May 25. She fully affirmed the achievement of the Park on construction planning and sector development, and hoped the Park could be reinforced by expanding and strengthening the service outsourcing business, and be constructed into a high added-value service outsourcing base by raising the utilization rate of land.

Attendees from the visit also included Zhang Shuhua, secretary of the CPC Kunshan Committee, Guan Aiguo, mayor and vice-secretary of the CPC Kunshan Committee, Ren Xueyuan, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Kunshan Committee and director of the managing committee of Huaqiao economic development zone.

Showing the development plan model of the Huaqiao International Service Business Park to Ma Xiuhong, Zhang Guohua gave a detailed introduction of city planning and sector distribution of the Park, which was highly commended by Ms Ma. She commented that since the Park was conveniently located near Shanghai, the utilization rate of land should be raised by building more high-rise buildings, so as to improve the business capacity of the Park. And different blocks of buildings could be connected with underground passages, thus forming a business community to attract investment.

When visiting Capgemini and China Data Group, Ma Xiuhong questioned the details of the service outsourcing business of the Park. She was very pleased by the news that the Capgemini project of the Park will involve 3,000 people within three years, with most of the employees engaging in offshore outsourcing. She encouraged the Park to further promote the industrial agglomeration and introduce service outsourcing business with high output, so as to galvanize the regional development. She said a fine industry might not only provide more employment prospects but also change the whole structure of a city. According to Ms Ma, the Huaqiao International Service Business Park not only needs a 5-8 year plan, but also a 10-15 year plan.
