Faced with the new economic situation, the Planning and Construction Bureau of Huaqiao International Service Business Park keeps upgrading its services and giving full play to its advantages in planning and construction to create a soft environment favorable to the Park’s development. The bureau aims to enhance Huaqiao’s industrial economy by increasing the added value of 1 billion yuan in service industry and the investment in the fixed assets of 1 billion yuan in 2009.

First, the departments of the Bureau learn the projects by studying their investment capability, operation, construction progress and obstacles in development. The Bureau helps principal companies out of their different difficulties according to different circumstances they are in.

Second, the Bureau enhances its service efficiency. It helps companies with the procedure of submitting reports for approval thus making the projects settle down as soon as possible. It also appoints agents to work upon the examination and approval procedure for key projects at the district level. Moreover, it provides service every day all through the year, and extends its working hours per day to further improve the examination and approval efficiency.

Third, the Bureau expands its service scope. It has established various “green channels” of construction application, power supply, fire fighting, and air defense. To well serve the companies in operation and their staff, the Bureau tries to fulfill their every need in infrastructure such as power supply, telecommunication, fuel gas and water supply and drainage, and also provides 24-hour service in housing and traffic.

Within this year, the area of 700,000 square meters has already been undergoing construction. With the goal of “Six Tens”, the Bureau will guarantee the building of business area of over 2.5 million square meters in construction, with 1 million square meters completed this year.
