On April 17, two BPO companies China Data Group and Bank of China Services Company LTD. held a job fair at the labor and social security department of Huaqiao International Service Business Park to recruit data processors, operation assistants and so on. Hundreds of graduates from local universities and secondary specialized schools have come to apply. Most of them are unemployed fresh graduates from rural areas and urban communities in this district.

It is the first time that the BPO providers have held job fairs to recruit graduates from the universities and secondary specialized schools around Huaqiao. Applicants are supposed to pass the first round of the qualification examination and second round of written exams, and then the online test. The selected applicants will then be sent to professional institutions for vocational training before taking a post.

In the face of the tough job market, the labor and social security department of Huaqiao holds job fairs regularly, conducts investigation into unemployed graduates, as well as carries out deep investigation into enterprises on the employment of graduates. Furthermore, it keeps itself informed of the latest recruitment information, recommends qualified graduates for positions, and makes sustained efforts to open a “green channel” for their employment.
