The awards ceremony of "the most beautiful Ruzhou people" was held in the Ruzhou Municipal Television Station Broadcasting Hall on Dec 29. A total of 100 "most beautiful Ruzhou people", who were elected from the whole of Ruzhou city, participated in the ceremony.

The awards ceremony began with a rendition of a beautiful song called Aspiration. The song and dances were performed in front of the audience in the form of a musical.

An excellent poem intonation of The Most Beautiful Ruzhou People expressed the heartfelt wishes of local residents. Under the guidance of a general strategy focusing on the establishment of a harmonious, motivated, and beautiful Ruzhou, the local culture is expected to be expanded on both sides of the Ru River.

"Firstly, I would like to express my appreciation to our government for hold this ‘most beautiful Ruzhou people’ contest, which allows general Ruzhou residents, like me, to get an opportunity to promote and perform the Ruzhou spirit," said Qin Weixiang, the overall winner of the award.

Qin added, "It is my honor to receive the title of ‘the most beautiful Ruzhou citizen’. This award is a confirmation from the public, which will be an encouragement in my future daily life."

Qin also said that Ruzhou people should consider the award as a driving force, which can bring the spirit of being "the most beautiful Ruzhou person" to more of the population.

Held by the Ruzhou Municipal Party Committee Communications Bureau, the Ruzhou Municipal Civilization Office, and the Sizhitang Pharmaceutical Company of Henan province, "the most beautiful Ruzhou people" was launched in mid November. The contest aimed to stimulate and lead the whole of society to develop motivation and good inspiration.

From the bottom to the top, the contest has greatly involved general residents' opinions. After the evaluation by a diversified department and media publication, a total of 100 candidates won ten categories in "the most beautiful Ruzhou people" award.

Each winner has not only been issued with an award certificate and a trophy, but also received prizes such as TVs, refrigerators, washing machines, and electric motor vehicles.

Wang Yingmin, standing member and secretary of the Ruzhou Municipal Party Committee; Guo Jie, standing member of the Ruzhou Municipal Party Committee and director of the Communication Bureau; and Yang Huixing, the vice director of the Ruzhou Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee, participated in the ceremony and presented the award to the winners.
