The city of Ruzhou in Henan province received three city brand awards – 'China's Hot Spring Capital 2013', 'China's Eco City 2013', and 'China's Most Investment-Friendly City 2013'.
The awards were announced on August 25 at the Brands of China 2013 awards ceremony, Beijing, hosted by the China Brand Building Society.
The event was themed 'China dream, brand dream' in a bid to provide a platform for high-end cooperation and promote sustainable development in China. The three-month selection combined an expert panel, public vote and survey. A total of 29 cities, 15 enterprises and nine people won awards, representing the spectacular development of China.
In recent years, Ruzhou has been working on accelerating adjustment of its economic structure and improving the quality and performance of economic development. What's more, in response to people's expectations of having a good living environment, Ruzhou has greatly strengthened ecological improvement and environmental protection.
Ruzhou has also been recognized as 'China's Excellent Tourism City', 'China's Garden City', 'China's Forest City' and an 'Advanced City for Management'.
